BCPD Trust Bushcraft, Axe Throwing and Explore Nature event

BCPD Trust a Luton based charity organised a Bushcraft, Axe throwing and Exploring nature event to help young people in Luton improve their mental health, wellbeing and encourage more volunteering in the community. Events like this also help our volunteers to develop their skills so that they can help more children in Luton.
This years event on 12th August was held at an outdoor event in Kempston near River Great Ouse. Our volunteers, tuition class students and other children from Luton were all participating at this event.
The funding was awarded by Luton Council’s Social Justice Unit, through BLCF, as part of the Luton Citizens’ Fund.
The team arrived at the outdoor event around 12pm and had light lunch before starting the activities at 1pm. The aim was to learn new skills, enjoy the outdoor, relax and calm your mind. The event finished by 4pm.
Everyone enjoyed the events thoroughly and at the end there was an axe throwing competition which got everyone excited and competitive. There were specialist coaches at hand to teach new skills and make all the activities safe and fun.
BCPD Trust a Luton based charity has been inspiring young people into Education, Careers, Business and Sports since 2011. This event is an example of some of the different ways we are helping young people in Luton.
