Charity Dinner Parties

The Trust regularly organises Charity Dinner Parties to bring awareness of our activities and raise funds to help our cause. We could not achieve what we are doing without the support of the local community and business in Luton.

Charity Dinner Party - 16th June 2014

BCPD Trust hosted a Charity Dinner to launch the Luton Online Business Innovation Centre on 16th June 2014 at Crescent Hall, Luton. This was a glamorous occasion held at a prominent Luton Venue location with celebrities, local businessmen, politicians, professionals and young entrepreneurs all mingling to create the perfect atmosphere.

Prominent guests included Mr Anwar Choudhury – British Ambassador to Peru, Mrs Sabrina Hussain - CEO of NTV, Mr Mark West - CEO of Bedfordshire & Luton Community Foundation, Mr A Bari – Director of Royal Regency, Mrs Parvin Begum – Director of Crescent Hall, Dr John Beaumont-Kerridge - Acting Associate Dean at University of Bedforsdhsire and Luton Mayor Cllr Mohammed Farooq.

Each short listed contestant presented their business idea in front of the panel of businessman judges. The panel of judges scored each contestant at the end of their presentation and the top three highest scoring contestants were awarded prizes based on their ranking.

The event Presenter and Host was Nadia Ali from the BBC Asian Network. Nadia has also worked for a number of Asian Channels, including B4U, Channel S, ATN Bangla and has hosted the hit reality show Forgotten Roots.

There was light entertainment throughout the event. There were quiz questions aimed at promoting local business.

This event was promoted and publicised locally and nationally via social media, websites, newspapers, Radio, TV and leafleting to community and businesses.

Luton Den of Dragons Competition

Luton Online Business Innovation Centre offered young entrepreneurs the opportunity to enter the Den of Dragons Competition. This competition was open to any-one living in Luton or surrounding areas and aged between 16 to 25 years.

Short listed competition entrants were invited to the Charity Dinner Party on 16th June at Crescent Hall, Luton where each entrepreneur presented their business idea in front of our panel of Businessman judges.
